Temart's screw range is designed in collaboration with museums and frame workshops. The aim was to create a selection of high quality screws for the commonest requirements for framing and mounting artworks. The list of requirements included the following points:
The result is a range consisting of eight screws which fulfil the above requirements.
The screw range is used by museums and frame workshops, as well as by conservators.
All screws are manufactured in steel and are the strongest screws
with wood screwthreads existing in production. The whole screw
range is offered with two alternative rust treatments: gloss
galvanised or matt black chrome.
The screw range is based on pozidriv threads (PZ) and with
two screwdrivers or bits (Pozidriv 1 och 2) all can be tightened.
A predrilling is not necessary since all screws are self-drilling,
even in hard woods such as oak.
The special screws for mounting of back surface protections,
so-called backing screws, are manufactured in the same series as
above, with a soldered-on washer.
Temart screws are delivered in stackable and recloseable PE- boxes of various sizes. Packages contain 250 screws.
